Press kit: Logo, colours and boilerplate

How is the name written?

• In running text: Kaynaq, with a capital K and a final q. Never “Kaynak”, “KaynaQ” or “Kaynaq Agency”.
• In the logo: lowercase kaynaq.
• Descriptor: “Kaynaq — GEO, AEO and SEO agency”.
• Pronounced “kai-nahk”; “kaynak” is Turkish for source.

Boilerplate

Logo files

The logo is the word kaynaq in lowercase. The final q is custom-drawn: its bowl is a measurement box with a red 1 inside. Use the square mark only in tight spaces such as profile images; prefer the wordmark wherever it fits.

How should the logo be used?

• Do not recolour or distort it, and do not add shadows, gradients or other effects.
• Use the light version (L-02) on dark backgrounds.
• On platforms that crop profile images to a circle, use the profile image (L-05) rather than fitting the square mark into the circle.
• Leave clear space around the logo at least the size of the q’s box.
• Do not refer to the square mark on its own as an abbreviation; our name is Kaynaq.

Colours

Red is used only for marks, codes and citations; never on large surfaces.

Typefaces

We use Schibsted Grotesk for text and headings and Martian Mono for labels, code and data. Both support Turkish characters and are available under open licences on Google Fonts.
