GEO for clinics: Visible within the promotion rules
When a patient asks an AI about a symptom, a treatment or a doctor’s name, the answer is compiled from several sources. In Türkiye, advertising health services is prohibited; only promotion and information within the rules is allowed. This page explains how to appear correctly in AI answers inside that boundary.
Covert or open advertising of health services is prohibited in Türkiye; facilities and doctors may only promote and inform within the principles of the Ministry of Health regulation. GEO works inside that boundary: specialties, doctors’ titles and health-protective information are published accurately, dated and sourced, without patient reviews, prices or claims of superiority.
What does the promotion regulation allow and prohibit?
The regulation, in force since 12 November 2025, replaced the 2023 regulation. How is AI visibility built within these rules?
The regulation prohibits advertising, not accurate, current information given by an authorised person. GEO work aims to get that information to AI crawlers and have it carried correctly into answers:
- The facility’s name, address, specialties and doctors’ titles are written the same on the website, Google Business Profile, Apple Maps and Yandex Maps. Google also asks that business information match how the business appears in the real worldSource 2: Guidelines for representing your business on Google.
- Information pages are written or approved by a doctor; they rest on established medical knowledge, cite sources and carry dates.
- Questions where AI gives wrong information about the facility are identified; the source of the error is found and corrected.
- Measurement is done without producing content that steers patients to a doctor or facility: we check whether answers are correct and which sources they list.
This page summarises how the regulation affects GEO work. For a decision about your facility, consult a lawyer and the provincial health directorate.
Which questions are measured?
The question set is built from your specialties and city. These only show the format:
- Which health facilities in [city] offer [specialty]?
- Which methods are used to treat [condition]?
- Which specialties does [facility name] accept patients for?
- At which facility does [doctor’s name] work?
